In this residential project, the interior architecture is reduced to the essentials, focusing on the sensory and perceptive experience of living. The space is conceived as a fluid and continuous environment, in which each element interacts harmoniously with the architectural and chromatic context, through a calibrated balance between material, light and colour. The colour palette used, in warm and neutral tones, envelops the rooms in a soft and uniform atmosphere, exalting the materiality of the surfaces and the essentiality of the forms. The heart of the home is the living area, where the kitchen is developed as an integrated system that disappears into an american walnut wall.

The kitchen island, acts as the visual and functional focal point of the space. A table with a dark glass top and cylindrical bases adds a touch of sophistication, while the pastel-coloured chairs lighten the composition, creating a delicate colour contrast.

The original fireplace, has been retained and reinterpreted in a contemporary key, becoming an integral part of the new design language. The living area is characterised by the use of low, linear furnishings, designed to contain carefully selected objects and graphic works. Each element is calibrated to avoid visual overload, allowing proportions and the interplay between solids and empty spaces to define the atmosphere of the space. Small contemporary accents — brightly coloured geometric objects and ironic details — break up the composure of the whole with restraint, activating a subtle dialogue between rigour and lightness. The house is on two levels, connected by a sculptural staircase: an architectural element that breaks up the rigour of the ground floor with its multifaceted, theatrical geometry. Natural light, filtering through the existing openings, shapes volumes and depths, drawing soft shadows that chase each other across surfaces, becoming an integral part of the space.

Upstairs, the organisation of the space has focused on creating a simple and well-balanced sleeping area, consisting of a bedroom with an en suite bathroom. In this part of the house, too, the design follows a logic of aesthetic continuity and material consistency, favouring pure volumes and integrated solutions. The bedroom stands out for its intimate and cosy atmosphere: full-height wardrobes in american walnut punctuate the wall, camouflaging the passageway and reinforcing the formal cleanliness of the space. The purple bedding introduces a bold chromatic accent, enlivening the room with a vibrant and unexpected elegance. The bathroom, defined by essential geometries and matt surfaces, features an integrated washbasin and a mirror that reflects natural light, amplifying the perception of space. Bloc_HL is an exercise in balance between form and function, material and light, intimacy and abstraction. A project that explores living as visual and spatial stratification, between architectural rationality and compositional lightness.
